As important as it is to provide an innovative, customized product, being sustainable is essential to Heidelberg Holdings.
From the most miniscule to the largest scale, each day we move towards reducing the impact we have on the environment and uplifting our communities.
As we work with an eco-responsible mindset, we have been removing all plastics within our factory and not allowing single-use plastics into our vicinities. This is a step towards reducing plastic waste from our plant in Katana, Sri Lanka.
To make this a more holistic approach, we also ensure our aluminum waste is reused. How we do this is by working with a 3rd party to take on our factory’s aluminum waste and recycle it to produce new, usable aluminum.
It is our guarantee that we do not dispose of any harmful chemicals or any form of substances or waste to the environment.
At Heidelberg, our people are our most important asset, we appreciate the value that they bring into our entire operation. Each of our 40+ employees’ unique skillsets has enhanced the company. Having such resources onboard has made us all the more confident of our competitive edge.
Knowing their value addition, we have implemented various schemes through our Human Resources to consistently improve their wellbeing and ensure their safety during work.
By offering them above industry standard remuneration and the opportunity to work with global brands, as well as training courses, we believe in motivating each individual with the tools to succeed in their careers, whilst bettering their lives.
The betterment of our society in Sri Lanka is of great importance to us at Heidelberg Holdings. We believe education is the most important tool we can give a generation. This is why we have begun an initiative to provide books and educational equipment necessary to the school children around our factory premises.
